If anyone has a Job Ops customer who is looking at Sage Inventory Advisor, be aware that the Netstock people know nothing about Job Ops. Main issue so far is a doubling of the demand numbers on component items if the customer uses Bill of Materials as a template for Job Ops - it counts the components on the work ticket and it goes out to the bill of materials and grabs the components from there as well. Fortunately my customer understands that there will be a bill for me to cure their ignorance. Happy happy joy joy....

Just had a demo of Inventory Advisor this week. I don't see much of a market for it among our clients, since most of them do not have large enough inventories to justify it. Perhaps 3 or 4 might benefit from it, but minimum of $299 per month may be difficult to sell. Sage sales seems to think this is a one demo sale opportunity. I'm not getting that. As for JobOps clients, since they are make to order, the JobOps Component Exception Manager is much more functional for them in terms of optimizing purchasing and production.
