If a Visual Integrator task is scheduled to run every 30 minutes and all of the Sage user licenses are being used, will it still run? Does a VI Task need it's own user license? What are others using to transfer files from an FTP site automatically? TII

I have been using Deskshare Auto FTP Manager for several years. It works great. Cost is $130 I believe.

Is this an auto-run V/I job ran from a BAT file or shortcut? If so, short answer is No it won't run if all licenses in use. It like other ""Mas 90 style"" tasks run outside the Launcher (e.g. Timecard Punch-In Punch-Out, any BOI app/script) require an available license. Releases license when done but if job gets hung-up, license stays in use. I like Core FTP Pro. It can schedule, encrypt, send emails when done, do scripted actions, support secure FTP (like FTP-S), has retry mechanisms, etc. A medical client uses it for HIPAA compliance. @NicoleRonchetti 's Star Trek FTP Voyager is is pretty cool too.

On the VI Export side, I use Visual Cut to run a Crystal Report to CSV. I don't believe that requires an available license. A separate program picks up the CSV and FTPs it although I think Visual Cut will do that too.

It is an auto-run V/I job from a BAT file and we are running into an issue when no licenses are available. So I was wondering if we ran the V/I job from inside of Sage 100 as part of Task Scheduler in Library Master, if this would avoid the issue of all licenses being in use. The L/M Task Scheduler can be set to run as often as needed, I just didn't know if it requires an available user license to start up and run. Anyone know for sure?

It will use a license for running the job even if the job is executed using a batch file or the task scheduler. No licenses available? It won't run as @AlnoorCassim stated.
