Idea Exchange - Why don't we use this to post idea

Idea Exchange - Why don't we use this to post ideas for exchange in advance of the meeting! - An old but a good idea we used to do... 90 Minds members each contribute a simple Crystal reports for use as give aways to customers. A great way to provide value (at minimal cost) and generate new business... oh that report would be great if it did this, or thanks, but what I would really like is a report that did... 36 members = 1 report per month for 3 years at the cost of 2 hours.

Yesterday, I modified the Credit Card settlement report to sort more like the Bank statements. it is going to save the client HOURS of time each month reconciling the bank deposits!!. Perfect for exchange purposes.

But then I'd have to go through all my reports and pick one out that's somewhat universal.... hmmm.... Good idea though!

I have a bunch of VI jobs people had contributed a while back - I think it would be worthwhile to contribute those which can be helpful as a starting point for some basic VI jobs.

Exchange ideas other than reports can be posted in here as well. For example, we just received our ""Customer Scoring"" from Sage and have the high cross sell potential customers identified. We could partner with someone who is a FAS expert to ""market"" fixed assets to our customer base and ""implement"" the product if successful in conjunction with one of our sales folk... We could also partner with someone on Intelligence (god knows our customers need more of that) to determine the best product to meet their needs and share in the implementaiton work as well...

I love this exchange idea @GaryFeldman! I'll cull through the reports, VI and scripts and see what's the best choices.

I have some old reports I found on an old storage server we retiring as we migrate 100% cloud... These are Crystals from 2007 so I am sure they need an upgrade. The names are self explanatory and were given away to customers on Maintenance back then...

But they are from PR so probably not much updating needed, @GaryFeldman !

@WayneSchulz posted a question on Classroom Training and @JeffSchwenk mentioned that there were a number of certified trainers in the group. One idea may be to have web based training by a certified trainer with nominal fees for the end customers who attend. Build more brand for 90 Minds, make a little money for the trainers and scare up some orphans for the group.

If '90minds' offered scheduled live web training, and obviously the company supplying the trainer was fully compensated (or got a percent of revenues so there is a risk/reward scenario), I'd be happy to market that to my end users. I feel like I 'own' 90minds and given the amount of communicating about it we've done with our customers (and why it's a strategic advantage to us vs. non 90minds vars), I'd very much be comfortable selling them into a web training class.
