I'd like comments on the DSD Multi-Currency enhancement for those that have customers who use it. We will be adding it for a new customer in the next week. Do they use the auto update of rates also? Thanks.

I view multi-currency similar to EDI -- if you need it , it's invasive and what choice do you have. The only issue is that some competitive products offer native multi-currency so on a new deal I feel ethically bound (depending upon the relationship and what I've been asked to consult about) to disclose that there are options where MC is not an add-on.

I have a customer who has used it for a number of years without any problems. Buys in Dollars, sells in Pounds and Euros.

I have a customer that has used it for years. They have to report financials in Dollars and Pounds but they don't use the auto update of rates.

I'll put in a plug for DSD multi-currency, although the customer isn't using the auto-update feature but recently has asked more about it. Is it an optional add-on?

We have a couple customers using DSD Multi currency. Neither uses the auto update feature. They update rates once a month. It functions for them, but it doesn't generate excitement. It is very invasive (it has to be). So support takes on an additional dimension. One customer needs the feature to convert from one international currency to another international currency, then roll everything up for the 2nd currency into dollars. Apparently DSD mutli currency does not do this two tier function. That's the one complaint I've hear.
