I just noticed that after you installing 2022 IRD ( due 12/15/2022) Sage shows the minimum migration version to upgrade as 2022.3, which is not due until April 2023.

This could be an issue for users on 2020.x or 2021.x who both need the IRD for 2022 AND have plans to upgrade prior to the next April 2023 PU release.

    IRD 2022 Includes:
    • 1099 Form changes for tax year 2022
    • Form 1099 Tax Reporting version has been updated to 2.98
    • Functionality change of where the 1099 DBA Name field in Vendor Maintenance prints on the 1099 Form

2022.3 is scheduled for April 2023

If you install the IRD to Sage 100 2021, then you can't  ( shouldn't? ) upgrade to 2022.x until the PU3 is available in April 2023. I don't know if this is a "hard stop" or if it's more of a best practice?

And to be candid - I've only just noticed the "Migration Minimum Version" and maybe this has been a thing forever and doesn't really make a difference?

I've never run into this issue but presume that Sage has this minimum migration level for a reason. If there is a reason then it's concerning that if we install the IRD for a customer on 12/15/2022 that they may not be able to do a complete version upgrade to 2022 until PU 3 is released in April 2023. I have no clue whether Sage verifies this during the upgrade.

    Perhaps I'm reading this wrong?

Just an FYI on something that seems odd to me
