I wouldn't be surprised if the ""car salesman"" was in on the prank - but this is clever.

Awesome! If the salesman's not in on then I'm impressed they had the guts to try that.

I'm pretty sure its fake, but still great none the less: I have a Camaro SS... 1) The tires sure make that look like a V6, but the engine sure has heck sounds and performs like a V8 2) It comes with traction control which wouldn't allow for the tires to spin like that unless he specifically turned it off. They didn't show him doing that or the salesguy making a comment as to why 3) That wierd cupholder where they put the camera is aftermarket. The camaro cupholders are in the center console. Why would the car just so happen to have an ugly wierd extra cupholder perfectly placed for the camera 4) at :25 it says closed course professional driver 5) If the guy dropped dead from a heart attack, how much liability would Pepsi have?

Sweet, @MarkChinsky! I too had a Camaro (y'know, since I'm originally from NJ - lolol), but mine was a dumpy '81 (stock photo attached) - although it wasn't dumpy when I got it in '87, but after 5+ years of messing around and doing neutral-drops every chance I got, that considerably lessened its life. My brother's '69 was the best though!

oh, neutral-drops...forgot about those...yeah, not doing that to my $40k plus camaro :)

No Camaro's allowed in my driveway. I have a 2013 Challenger R/T with a 6 speed for the company car daily driver. Pic is out on the lake this weekend after a local SCCA club ice race that I ran with it. Burnouts, doughnuts and power slides are standard fair with mine. These cars are made to be beaten on. They can take it.

And it was completely fake... http://jalopnik.com/that-jeff-gordon-terrifying-a-car-salesman-pepsi-ad-is-453519481

A great video. Didn't even mind that it was all a spoof. A little disappointed that Jeff Gordon didn't drive but when you think about it - are they really going to be racing in and out of a parking lot and exposing people to that liability. I'd say Pepsi got their moneys worth out of that video.

@KevinWesley But that puppy only has 375 ponies, right? And is larger than the Camaro.

390 hp and 100 lbs heavier than a Camaro. Mine will get a cam swap, intake update, exhaust work and a tune this summer. Should be making 450 - 470 after that. Not bad for a daily driver that still gets 27mpg on the highway.

http://autos.aol.com/cars-Dodge-Challenger-2013-R_T__2dr_Coupe/overview/ @KevinWesley Everything I've read is that its 375 stock. My Camaro is 400hp stock (oddly, the stick is 425 but slower). I've already upgraded to a cold air intak and louder more open exhaust so I think I'm pushing about 430. I have to say, in day to day, I much more enjoy my Infiniti G37 with 327hp V6. The camaro is lucky to average 16mpg, the Infiniti about 22. Outside of a dry day on the track, you lose so much real world acceleration as the traction control (and if you turn it off, the wheel spin) really cuts back on off the line performance. If there is the slightest bit of gravel, rain etc, a Yugo will probably go faster. My Infiniti literally just darts from a stop in nearly any weather or road condtion. In the Camaro if I have to make a hard right turn (rear right wheel does most of the pushing) up a hill with some slickness?? Forget it. The infiniti is 100% rear wheel drive through both rear wheels and then instantly will move to 50/50 with all 4 wheels pushing & pulling when needed. It's truly the best of both worlds. The nice 'push' handling of rear wheel drive, with 'quattro' like all condition performance only when needed. Outside of the gorgeous looks of the camaro, the Mustang and Camaro really dissapoint me as a day to day usable vehicle (can't talk about Challenger as I've not been in one

Yeah, I guess I had 390 in my head for some reason. Looks like the pickups of all things are rated at 395. I put Blizzaks on my Challenger for this winter and it was fine. Just did a SCCA ice race last weekend with it and had a lot of fun sliding around the lake. I've got enough cars that just sit and don't get any miles, so I didn't want another to end up like that. I agree that there are better daily drivers, but for me I wanted a V8, manual, rear drive that I can do burnouts and donuts in whenever I feel like it. Yes, I know I'll be putting a set of tires on every year, but that's the price of entertainment. It's a company car, at least the tires are pretax. What amazes me about the Challenger is how many people stop to talk about it and say how good it looks. Never expected that. More people stop to talk about my bone stock Challenger than any of my other cars.
