I will be contacting each of you individually to schedule some time to talk about our activities for 2015 and more specifically the goals for your area of MOTM.
High level I am asking the following:
Vendor Members - Peter Wolf
- Become strategic about inviting members who fit our profile - rejecting those who don't
- Ideas on adding value to our vendor members beyond MOTM
- Sage as a publisher member
Webinars / Education - Therese Logeais
- Developing a schedule and series of steps - before, during, after - for our vendor member webinars - this is going to have to be ""cookie cutter"" with lots of boilerplate and making sure vendors follow the steps by due dates.
- Creating a pre-conference committee to assist with session ideas
Finance - Jeff Schwenk
- Cloud accounting - hosted Sage 100
- Credit card processing
- Budget review
Membership - Robert Wood
- Onboarding and a plan for our vendor members to come into Socialcast
- Planning for revising our Socialcast to integrate all members - consultant, vendors, maybe publishers - so we are not having walled areas such as we used to do with OASIS yet are not exposing confidential information
Events - Jim Woodhead
- Planning for MOTM 2016
- Planning for Summit event(s) , possible pre-conference
Some things that are going to happen for 2015 to run smoothly:
a. We're going to double down on Google Apps. Please don't pass around documents in other formats via email.
b. We will use Basecamp to track tasks (though not communications) -- as we progress there will be a Basecamp area with tasks and due dates in progress for each of our assigned areas. You'll have access to your area so that we can manage outstanding projects. We cannot continue to grow and not know what tasks need to be managed and by what date.
Continue to use Socialcast - Admin for daily discussions unless we find that it's overwhelming and then we'll talk about options.
Most importantly - as 90 Minds continues to grow these positions are going to put additional time requirements on all of us - most especially around our events and conferences. Please do not hesitate to ask for help if there is a task assigned which you can't get to, feel is unreasonable or needs to be modified.
If at any time you need help or even a replacement please speak up and ask.
