I was asked to quote a job to modify one of Slade's perform logic scripts for a S/O Invoice import. It disallowed duplicate historical invoice numbers to be imported. As it turns out, the option in the V/I Import Job Maintenance screen for ""Skip Over Existing Records"" actually works for History as well as the data entry tables.

Dan, do you think this works the same for AP invoice data entry too? #iamidiot too

So how much did you quote the job to flip the flag on the VI? Seems to be about a $500 modification..............

@JimWoodhead It seems I am on a direct course (unintentionally) to find all the holes in MAS tools and I appear to be driving a big truck. It would also appear that since it would have been intentional that history files be included with that flag, that they would have been included in all Business Framework modules. However; I wouldn't bet more than 10 cents.

1,4,5 - these votes are not only because I feel your pain with V/I, but because I feel this way often these days. Ya think ya know something - could swear to it - but no, it doesn't behave the same way in this version!

I recall reading about this feature, and the intent was to prevent a bunch of invoice adjustments from being made. Wonder if this feature also works with skipping transactions with duplicate PO numbers (assuming customer PO number checking is enabled in SO Options).

I am still working on this ""Skip Existing Record"" logic for VI for AP invoiceHeader. It doesn't seems to do anything when importing AP Invoices. Because of this I am looking for a solution. Has anyone created preform logic or have a technique in VI to accomplish this.

And it's because I learned it by accident. Interesting problem @JohnShaver and I had a few weeks ago was that if you are importing into SO Entry and uncheck the option, it still wont' import them if they're in the SO History file.

I 'll posted my question to the oasis group? We will see if anyone has a solution?
