I usually ask IT folks make needed changes to the operating system. But due to a SAGE 100 Std v2014 test upgrade, Paperless Office broke for the live version 4.50 on two Windows 7 workstations. I need to restore three Chilkat DLL files and register them into Windows 7 on those two workstations. What is the easiest and safest way to execute the registration. Using Regsvr32 in the CMD prompt? Using Regsvr32 from the Start/Run window?

I personally open two explorer windows, one in the system 32 or the syswow64 folder so that you see the regsvr32 file and the other where the DLL's are located. Grab the DLL and drag it on top of the regsvr32 file. Easy as one two three...

Doesn't PDFINSTALL (or whatever that file is named) do the registration?

It's supposed to @WayneSchulz but I've seen times it doesn't at least on Win 7.

Just got back from client visit. Followed @JeffSchwenk instructions and it worked two times (on two Windows 7 workstations) in a row. It's a good Friday afternoon.

@MichaelMcDonald (anyone else) - Running 100 Standard - Do these have to be installed on the local workstation as well as on the server?? I am test upgrading from v4.3 to v2015 and of course paperless is not working. I installed and registered on the server, but paperless in v4.3 is still not working. Reading this post, it appears I need to install on the workstation.

Is there a way to tell if the files have already been registered successfully? Or do you just re-register and go from there?
