I upgraded our own in house 4.50 to v2013. Now all of the custom report menus are blank. All of the reports are there in Report Manager. I can painstakingly get the physical name of each report in 4.50, delete them all in Report Manager v2013 and re-add. But there are close to 20 of them. Does anyone know a better way?

I feel your pain. I have had to do that before. You might try remigrating the system again.

One of the reasons that I like to avoid re-migrating system files on upgrades. If at all possible I setup the custom reports and then just drag over the MAS_xxx and reconvert

Thanks, Jim. I think I would rather just delete and re-add manually. Plus it would have a greater likelihood of success!

Wayne, are you saying this is typical if you re-migrate system files? I don't remember doing that, but it's possible.

I guess my point is if you haven't spent much time on the migration that when I would try it again. But Wayne has a good point. once you have invested time it the new system, remigration of System is the LAST option!!!

If you remigrate system you are starting over in setting up security and menus and custom office.

You could check to see if there are entries in the Sy_menu and Sy_Task files for your reports. Do File / Run / Sy_Menu_UI and look at Custom Reports menu for the modules you had created reports for. If you're lucky you'll see an empty checkbox next to your reports. Check them and click Accept. That will recompile the menus.

Alnoor, I forgot to mention in my original post that I also tried that without success.

I wonder if it something as simple as the lines being removed from MNUMOD.TXT (in the ..MAS90\Launcher folder). You could compare the new to the old and maybe restore the missing lines from under the Custom Reports sections. Just a wild shot in the dark.

They brings up another question @AlnoorCassim If you have see them there and the reports are inaccessible via report manager. How do you remove the invalid ones from the menu system. I have had this issue many times too. In the past I just leave them unchecked but....

Jon that means you don't even have the task entry in Sy_Task. That means like you suggested earlier you have to add it back manually :(

@JimWoodhead leaving them unchecked with Sy_Menu_UI is what I've always done too. I think a utility is otherwise required to delete all the relevant records for the Sy_ReportManager file variations, Sy_Menu, Sy_Task. There's probably some trick to do but I haven't studied it.

Just following up on this conversation... Somehow I managed to migrate company data without bringing over the report settings and of course this company has a bagillion settings. We haven't made significant changes to role permissions. any major downside to remigration of system data to see if it grabs the reports settings?

    It should work without issue.....

One caveat though, make a complete copy of the folder before you try to remigrate....
