I upgraded a client to MAS200 Version 4.5. Remote users via a Terminal Server. How can user print to their own printer by default and a different user print to their printer by default, seperate printers versus having to select the printer because the form default to the last printer used. Thanks in advance for your help on this.

I think the question is how can everyone share the same printer -- it was always supposed to work but I never could get it to. The only fallback I ever used was to make sure the printers were all the same on every workstation. If a workstation didn't have the same printer as that last used then it tended to default to some odd printer -- in some cases not even the workstation default. I believe some portion of this has been promised to be fixed in 4.5 so someone should jump in here with additional .02

Create new versions by user for both forms and reports (for non-legacy reports) so that it keeps settings correctly.

@RonPeterson are you asking how to have things print to different printers by user? If so, adding new user versions should do it.

Therese, I was hoping not to do that, though I thought that might be the case. I was hoping for improvements in Version 4.5. Wayne, I believe Version 4.5 in User Maintenance you can check on for the user to use their default printer though I think it only applies to Standard form code. I think the standard form code was pre-4.5 -- I'm not sure what printing functionality was added in 4.5 but I believe something was and just don't know if it cures this issue.
