I spent a couple hours this morning drawing up a list which is based on Socialcast logins - of all the people who I believe are 90 Mind Members and the firms they are affiliated with. Also attached is a list of our OASIS members and firm names. Quite a few 90 Minds have affiliated with DSD -- including myself and Robert Wood who I list under our own firm names until I figure out the best way that we are going to manage this. As we look at members for 2012 I recommend we make our first cut purely on Socialcast login/participation. If they've not been seen in 6 months and there's no extraordinary reason for them to be absent then I recommend cutting them. Keep thinking about what we want to do with OASIS -- the way I see it we can: a. Run it as a profit making venture - which means lots of lurkers, possibly diminished value for those concerned about competition b. Run it as an active group - no activity within the past 12 months we just revoke membership

On a related tangent, I spoke with John Hoyt at Hutchinson Bludgood Friday and he said he was really happy with being part of OASIS. He mentioned he noticed a lot of his team hadn't started taking advantage of it yet and he was going to see what he could do to turn that around. I am in camp a from above because it's my understanding that the really active people will be invited in to full 90 Minds and we will continue to do things to add value to 90 Minds separate from the general purpose access that OASIS offers. If that's the case, the lurkers will subsidize the active users. The only downside that I can see is that the lurkers can ""advertise"" that they are part of OASIS even if they are lurkers and that advertisement may put them at par with an active member when bidding on a job. I would suggest that the lurkers won't ""get it"" enough to make that a problem. I also scanned a bunch of websites of OASIS and 90 Minds members and very few of us (that I can see) have listed the 90 Minds or the OASIS membership. I think that should be mandatory for full 90 Minds members to build the page rank of www.90minds.com.

One issue we must solve in 2012 is: A. We need a tax ID (which @JeffSchwenk may have already obtained) B. We need someone to take on the responsibility of filing tax returns - I don't want the job and before we go out to obtain more dues we must open a 90 Minds account using a 90 Minds tax ID number. Right now I had to open the account under my ID because the bank would not open one without it. I do not want to incur - nor should any member - possible tax liability nor do I want to take on the job of filing 90 Mind tax returns, etc.
