On a related tangent, I spoke with John Hoyt at Hutchinson Bludgood Friday and he said he was really happy with being part of OASIS. He mentioned he noticed a lot of his team hadn't started taking advantage of it yet and he was going to see what he could do to turn that around.
I am in camp a from above because it's my understanding that the really active people will be invited in to full 90 Minds and we will continue to do things to add value to 90 Minds separate from the general purpose access that OASIS offers.
If that's the case, the lurkers will subsidize the active users.
The only downside that I can see is that the lurkers can ""advertise"" that they are part of OASIS even if they are lurkers and that advertisement may put them at par with an active member when bidding on a job. I would suggest that the lurkers won't ""get it"" enough to make that a problem.
I also scanned a bunch of websites of OASIS and 90 Minds members and very few of us (that I can see) have listed the 90 Minds or the OASIS membership. I think that should be mandatory for full 90 Minds members to build the page rank of www.90minds.com.
