I sent the notice below to our vendor members today. This is a web conference call Robert and I have scheduled to review the options for increasing the communication between vendors and consultants. We think that creating separate group(s) where vendors and consultants could join would be the best option. Vendors will not have access to any prior Socialcast groups or comments/discussions. Before we do anything we thought it would be a good idea to have a conversation with the vendor members on their thoughts. After this conversation we will formulate a plan and discuss with the consulting membership. Here's the email sent today to vendor members as a reminder (we had 9 signed up including 2 from admin): A reminder that today at 2pm ET (10/30/14) we are having a call to go over communication options for our 90 Minds vendor members to communicate with our 90 Minds consulting members. A number of you have asked if there is a way that you could not only reach consulting members via webinars and meetings but also participate in some type of online discussion. The 90 Minds group operates a vibrant private online community which shares technical information. These groups would stay private to our consulting members however we are investigating the demand for additional groups which we may create for both consulting and vendor members. We have a few options that we'd like to discuss: 1. Create new group(s) in our existing Socialcast 2. Use some separate area - Linkedin, Facebook, Other 3. Seems to have gone well. Vendor members were surprisingly quiet....

I think that's because they don't really know what to expect. I anticipated that there would be few questions.

That's probably sufficient.

We are running into the age old problem. Multiple ways to communicate dilutes the conversation. I am not active in LinkedIn or Facebook. I am not into having to check/post in three different spots. I am not alone. Let's keep it simple and make SocialCast work.
