I see that Microsoft announced Office 2013. Sadly they still have a myriad of confusing versions. This new release supposedly marks a focus on cloud for all future Microsoft versions. I read that Skype will be integrated to Office as the official ""presence"" indicator and that everyone will have 60 minutes a month of Skype calling credit. Microsoft also owns Yammer and will likely integrate that into Office as well. http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Enterprise-Applications/Microsoft-Touts-Office-2013-Integration-With-Skype-Yammer-Cloud-154546/ To some extent this seems like a ""build everything but the kitchen sink into a popular monopolistic product"" that Microsoft has done in the past with Windows.
