General Consultant Discussion

I realize that we can't have 100% attendance but I personally do not prefer to have a conference if certain key players of 90 Minds can't make it. So, early December seems like it's out because Wayne can't make it. My new thoughts are: 1. Move it to Feb or Mar of next year. Early in the month. Feb 5th is superbowl - I don't care but I'm sure most of America apart from me does so that pushes us to Feb 12th. My guess is we will still have conflicts but the advance notice allows for better planning. 2. We stick with the early December timeframe but try a virtual conference instead. This idea appeals to me if we are doing it with the inclination of using it as a trial run for a virtual customer conference in Spring 2012. In theory with the combined client base, we could reach 100+ attendees. The virtual customer conference is an idea I've wanted to pursue for quite a while as I think it could introduce some new ideas to customers and promote additional services and add-ons. We did a regional Chicago conference with Accpac partners back in the early 2000's and it resulted in a good bit of business and a lot of happy customers who afterwards felt like they were part of a bigger community. Please provide your thoughts. Let's consider this a brainstorming session - no negative, ""it won't work"" thoughts. Let's discuss positive aspects and how we could make it work. Or abstain from commenting if you can't think of any positives. :)

I agree with the key player point. Since it is our idea, we should be in attendance. I am still very much in favor of meeting somewhere. Problem with the vitual conference is that it is too easy to become distracted or disengaged. We can try VCing for smaller segments (an hour or two) to see how it goes. We've waited this long, I don't any issue with delaying the meeting another month or two. Let's git er done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
