I paid the $650 annual consultant charge on November 12. Sage hasn't charged my credit card but the charge is pending. I have tried to call Sage twice, including today. I was on hold for 45 minutes before hanging up. Has anyone else experienced this? If this is normal their systems are more screwed up then I imagined. Nice cash receipts processes.... they may have so much cash they don't care.

I normally ask my account rep to issue and invoice to my account, then pay it once a month with another e-mail to my credit and collections rep. Never have had an issue....

@DougHiggs - exact same issue for me-no charge. Transaction was 11-17.

I received the same $650 annual consultant renewal from SAGE. In addition SAGE wants me to pay $265 for a Certified Implementation Partner (CIP) program. Anyone else get that email? The list of benefits seem to include everything that I have now via the $650 annual charge. Anyone know if there are any real benefits to the CIP program?

I had them put it on our Sage account. No issues.

A major beef of mine is that for small shops, this is total overkill. I am the be all end all for firm yet Sage still requests their gallon of blood for each hat that I have to wear. Only five years till early retirement..... Would you like a cart today???????

@MichaelMcDonald I've not gotten the CIP info yet though I did see the program mailing when it went around initially. I was puzzled about who exactly that was for and at the time I think the closest explanation was that it was for firms since a firm cannot be a CC ( the CC status travels with the person). So if you weren't an authorized reseller (as a firm) you would not have any official status with Sage. The CIP is meant to provide that status for those who are not reselling. At least that's my understanding.

@JeffSchwenk That's the issue I have with all of the add-ons to Sage 100. For example, now that payroll doesn't work with premium, Sage's answer is to use HRMS payroll....simple enough if you don't mind taking a training course, get certified and pay an upfront and annual fee to maintain the status. Funny, but I have been supporting Sage 100 payroll for 25 years and never had to get certified or pay a fee. Why is it now suddenly so important? $$$$$$$

Boy, you are right about ""FrankenPayroll"" (as @ChuckPeddy calls it). Chuck was fluent in Abra before they moved those apps to SQL and called it all Sage HRMS. We had enough interest in HRMS from our Sage 100 customers that we went through the cert process. Very. Painful. And, while the HRMS Payroll has great functionality, it is the most convoluted to install and upgrade! We would be interested in helping 90 Minds use mutual resources to meet the needs of 90 Minds' customers while minimizing the extreme overhead on this.
