I need to do an install of MAS 200 4.4 on a remote

I need to do an install of MAS 200 4.4 on a remote server. The client is moving from MAS 90 4.4 (PU6) and rather than trying to upload from our local ftp sites, I was wondering if anyone knew of a MAS 200 4.4 image available that is already ""in the cloud"" coming from a relatively fast server. The Sage site shows only 4.5 available.

Try this, although I'm not sure how fast it'll be: https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D08176_141271_6731

Yes as a matter of fact - do you have a Drop Box account? If so let me know your email address and I will share my DropBox which has exactly what you are requesting (and more)...

Chuck I sent you an invite to our DropBox. This has 4.5 - I can probably fish out 4.4 and sync it up. For anyone lurking -- we've discussed this before -- but here's how I manage this. a. I have a ""pure"" paid DropBox used only for this purpose of syncing files to customer sites. Cost is $99/yr for 100 GB. b. Then I can share that folder to my normal DropBox where I typically maintain (add/remove) files and documents as needed. The reason that I use a ""pure"" DropBox (one that only has Sage sync files) is that I believe once you install DropBox on the customer site they can activate any of the folders (including ones you may have holding personal information) and start syncing to their computer. For $99 this is definitely worth the investment. I typically remotely install DropBox. Let it sync over a couple days. Then when I log back in every file I need is on the remote computer. You can download individually from Sugarsync or Google Drive - however I think this is more of a time saver since you don't have to babysit the downloads. I've yet to have a problem synchronizing. I had lots of issues with LARGE file downloads from Sugarsync. Yes you can probably do this with any of the other file services like Sugarsync , Google Drive, Box.Net --- I just happened to use DropBox because it was inexpensive and I already was using it personally.

We do something similar, Wayne. Yours is cleaner. the one caveat is to ensure that you install the Dropbox folder on the customer's Data drive. Before we figured out how to do that (Dropbox Preferences) we accidentally jammed up one customer's c: drive adding a large file needed for another customer.

@BrettZimmerman or @WayneSchulz - is this an installation image or just a zipped up Mas folder? I could use an installation image of Mas90 4.50 if one is readily available.

I'm assuming the link I provided is a Zipped up installation image of MAS 200 4.40. For 4.5, I'd just recommend you download it from the Sage Portal.

I unzipped everything and stuck it into folders -- it's meant to sync over the course of a few days. If you need it immediately then you'll be stuck rolling the dice that Sage's server is running at top speed. Plus you'll likely need a ton of other files that you have to piecemeal download.

Looks like download from Sage is the winner. Can the customer do that download thru his portal - rather tie up his time and bandwidth if possible.

Yes, although if I want the client to download it, I just give them a ""tinyurl"" link rather than the long link on Sage's site. E.g., http://tinyurl.com/mas90-200-45

Plus then you don't have to deal with the client getting into the Portal and ""battling"" with things - if they even yet have access.

Thanks, I'll get that started and start my weekend!

Don't forget it comes down as ISO and needs to be extracted or mounted using additional software.

Good reminder, @WayneSchulz. Fyi, I typically use WinZip to extract it.

At some point you'll wind up piecemealing a lot of downloads. Add in the fix for Crystal, fix for that DAX error (which requires a specific MSFT component ).
