Sage 100

I need some help understanding the requirement for SQL Server User CALs when talking about Sage 100 ERP 2013 Premium. Is a user CAL required for each Sage 100 user? It seems that the server program does all of the writing to tables. It does reads, but so would any ODBC compliant program like Crystal Reports. I'm just trying to get my head wrapped around this a little better. I have a call into Sage, but I have no idea how long it will take them to return my call.

I think technically you should purchase either processor for unlimited or CALs if under I think 25 users. Agreed server does all writing and reading is done by both users and server. Hence I think the argument is the workstations are directly accessing the sql server for odbc reads.
