I need help with Paperless Office printing remotely Server Windows 2003 Workstation A in server building Windows 7 with MAS90 4.4 Workstation B in warehouse building - XP with network printer they currently use WS B to connect to WS A to use MAS90 with acceptable speed (remote desktop). Sitting at workstation B - can print to network printer and Paperless located in WS B building (too slow for daily use) Sitting at workstation A - can print to network printer and Paperless located in WS B building WS B can print connected Remote Desktop to WS A to same network printer WS B attempts to print connected to WS A to Paperless and gets these messages Printer not activated, error code -41 The PDF document was not created successfully. If WS B stays connected to WS A with MAS90 open, no problem, but if MAS90 is closed or RD connection is closed or times out, workstation setup must be run on WS A again to print to paperless. Assuming I do not want to leave MAS90 or RD connection open all the time or run workstation setup every morning, any other ideas?

It almost sounds as if each time you are remote desktop connecting that maybe a temporary area is used for the install fo the wksetup? I'm not that knowledgeable about whether this might be the case - just an idea.

Thanks - I have unchecked that box several times, but it does not stay that way. If this requires a daily fix, I would prefer this particular user runswksetup than change Windows settings. It it very strange.

Your client's IT dept can take care of this. There are at least 2 tools available to them to disable the mapping of client printers. One is called Terminal Services Configuration which would globally turn if OFF or ON for all RDP users. The other way which gives them more control is to create a group policy for just the remote MAS users . There is a setting they can enable called ""Do not allow client printer redirection"".

This way you don't have to worry about whether the remote workstation has Printers checkbox enabled or not.

Thanks, Alnoor. I have sent this suggestion to their IT guy.
