Out of respect, I'm not using a gif of someone weeping.   That's just a bummer!  I'll miss her.  And anyone there, with sense, would ask to tag along to her new employment. ***Sorry, I searched before I posted, and it just happens that neither post had "Warawa" in it. :-P  ***

    ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SAGE
    Dear Valued Partners,

We wanted to let you know that Jennifer Warawa, EVP for Partners, Accountants, and Alliances, is leaving Sage to pursue a fresh challenge outside our industry.

She will be running sales and marketing for a North American company in the construction sector and will be based in Dallas.

Her final day with Sage will be August 23, 2019.

As many of you know and have worked with Jennifer, we wanted to personally share this news with you all before we make any wider announcements. After Jennifer leaves, Dewey Forrester, a member of Jennifer's leadership team, will take over in the interim.

Our thanks to Jennifer for giving us an excellent platform to keep building on in 2020-and to all of you for your continued support. We will continue to work together to deliver success for customers.

    Best regards,

    Ron McMurtrie
Chief Marketing and Business Enablement Officer

    Nancy Harris
EVP, Managing Director of North America

    Paul Struthers
    EVP, Managing Director of Canada

Always seemed to be one of the hardest working people at Sage. Leaving almost a year to the day from when Kelly left. Not taking this as a good foreshadowing of Sage's 2020 fiscal year ahead. I found it interesting that although JW was a global executive that the announcement came from the North American team. Maybe they announced it regionally just to soften the blow.

Who wants in on the FYE 2020 executive departure pool? We will run two:

    1. Will not be present at Sage Summit 2020
    2. Will not be here past the end of FYE 2020

    Prize ....

Update: Technically McMurtie is global and also JW boss so I guess that was the global piece of the announcement

Jennifer most likely should have been tapped to take over Sage but the board was probably too gunshy by the revolutionary pace that Stephen Kelly laid out so, instead, they retreated to the safe harbor of a bean counter.

Hm, being overlooked for such a promotion might make someone, I don't know, leave. That was probably your point, Peter, but it had not dawned on me that anyone from North America would be considered., particularly if they were associated with...ew...partners!

I want to be clear that this is 100% conjecture on my part so there is no "inside scoop" here. Just my own dumb thoughts.

My WAG is that Sage is in the midst of paying a high-priced consulting firm to analyze their business and make recommendations on various options.

I heard from a source inside the UK that they went through a rationalization exercise about 18 months ago where they decided the fate of products and people.

No doubt that they will do it again soon. Why invest in the future when we can slash our way to greatness? :)
