I met with Don Deshaies (far left in the image attached). He is Tom Miller's replacement and in charge of running the channel in NA for Sage. Seems like a nice guy (don't they all at first). Had some conversation around the Sage 100 ERP Road Ahead and suggested to him (as I've done with previous Sage channel people) that Sage really should have some type of ombudsman who is the ""catch all"" for questions that fall on deaf ears at Sage. For example if you're not getting a response to an issue there should be someone at Sage you can call who isn't a VP (and presumably busier with big issues) and get a ""why am I not hearing back"" response to your issue(s). Probably won't go anywhere but I think it would be helpful to Sage overall. Did not learn much otherwise. Will update if I hear of anything more as a result of the meeting.

What did he contribute to meeting? Was he busy looking at his watch for the meeting to end?

It was more of an introduction than a meeting. I was there for media briefings (very little news) and he was on one of the panels. I met him during that session and then saw him once or twice when I was using the media center wifi to post updates. Had a talk about the Road Ahead and what occurred - naturally I recommended that Sage had to be straightforward about their product plans. Langner was in the area during one chat asking Don what they should do about the problem with the session. Overall the 90 Minds group is on Sage's radar. At each meeting I gave the Sage execs an update on our growth and activities.

Presumably, that Ombudsman would be part of the the VP Customer Experience's organization.

Maybe Jim Pendergast (he is on the far right in the photo above). Looks like he followed Brad Smith from Yahoo!
