I know this question has been asked a bunch of times but which is better Scanforce vs Scanco? Is Scanforce still the way to go or have things changed with Scanco? Their product looks really nice.....

A couple people have said that they've had recent good experiences with Scanco. I do not think the line is a clearly drawn of scanco v scanforce as it may have been a couple years ago.

We had a prospect earlier this year and I reached out to both ScanForce and Scanco. Both replied that they would do a demo but only Scanco came through. They were great to work with and customer is happy with their service. I'd say Scanco!

We are going through the same analysis. I asked Ron Chompf of ACS Group today about what he thought, and all he could say is ""I understand your dilemma."" He added: ""They all have their specialties and they vary in their flexibility to get features in their system."" Of course, they all integrate with the ACSG Multi-bin, so they get their sale in any case. We have decided for now on Scanco because we have existing customers on their system. We have also not had any issues with Scanco, so there is no big motivation to change. The others may have this also, but the use of iOS and Android devices is a big plus. If there is good cell reception, this allows use over the mobile network without the need for a separate wireless network in the warehouse(s). That's a potentially huge cost savings, depending on the size of the warehouse and if there are multiple warehouses. We have never actually used Scanforce, so I have no knowledge or opinion on their capabilities. I'll throw this out there, too, if a customer is using Work Order, Job Cost or JobOps. JDB Solutions Group covers all 3 of these in their offerings, so this could be a plus in these situations. Also for JobOps installations, JDB's JOScan for JobOps is now the Synergistic endorsed solution. Joe Bisaha of JDB (a 90 Minds member) will be at MOTM in February, so we can have a more detailed discussion about this.

I've seen both JOScan and WOScan of Joe's and they are quite intriguing. Yes, Joe will be presenting at MOTM in February as will Scanco and Scanforce.

I personally like both products equally. However, I think ScanForce nudges ahead in Support, and help with upgrades. I've had to pay Scanco 1/hour of support to do an upgrade wherr ScanForce includes help with upgrades under mainenance. I agree with @JohnHoyt. JDB's solution is a sweet add-on for JobOps or Work Order.

So, @ThereseLogeais will it be a scanning shootout over drinks at MOTM?

All I can say is I called Scanforce on 3 different occasions for new prospects. I am yet to get a call back. I also left my info at summit and still nothing.

We've only got one customer running ScanForce but my experience with implementation and ongoing support was mostly positive. Functionally it met the requirements. The client is still on 4.4 and getting ready to upgrade so we will see how it goes.

I have two or three on Scanforce and I don't hear any complaints. Most of these I took over from other partners. I will say that Scanforce is one of the best at honoring VAR commissions. I've received several that I would not have known about if I had not received a check from them.

I just completed an installation with both companies. Scanforce was salesforce automation and Scanco warehouse automation. The implementation was smoother and much easier with Scanforce. Those are my 2centsss

I've never heard any complaints before regarding Scanforce. First time working with Scanco on a project now and it has been difficult. They don't seem to understand the requests from the client and communications is..... difficult. Not sure if that is common with them but it seems that on complicated projects it may be.
