I just received this from a customer: We have launched a new web site and are using Sage as our payment processor for it, as we do for regular orders (via PC Charge.) Do you know how the 2 can be integrated. We use a virtual terminal at sagepayments.net to view the credit card transaction, but we're sort of stumped as to where we go from there. IOW, once we have the transaction on the web site, how do we make MAS90 aware that the credit card's been captured for the order. We don't have access to the credit card in this scenario. We have the authorization and transaction numbers, but nowhere to put them it seems I believe this is an issue @MarkChinsky ran into before regarding authorization from the web not easily importing to the desktop. Is this an In-Synch candidate? I believe the question they're asking here is how to get their orders from the web to MAS90/200.

Yes. In Synch would be your best candidate. It would bring the pre-auth and the order into MAS and post-auth during shipping/invoicing. However, if In Synch can't get access to the credit card number from the website, then it won't work. Also, they would need to switch to SPS for all their credit card transactions in MAS.

They are using SPS for their credit card on both the web and in MAS 200. They are saying really what they want to do is have the CC pre-authorize on the web (this is still SPS) and then they can manually key it into MAS 200 and have some place to enter that pre-authorization. I do not believe that works and they would need to pre-auth again -- which doubles authorizations. But I will defer to someone who may have recently handled this. I also believe my initial assessment is use In-Synch was probably the correct one but they seem keen on just re-keying so their answer probably will be ""no can do without another pre-auth"" unless someone can jump in here and provide info.

If they can get to the authorization number, they should be able to enter it. It's really no different than if they did a phone authorization.

I just figured out that I think he is saying the CC has been processed / charged on the web -- which I think means you'd just create a dummy CC account as per http://infosource.sagesoftwareonline.com/sw_attach/kdb.asp?isresolutionconceptid=401054

We just bring it in as prepaid order with a payment type of CC. No authorization etc. since it is already charged on the web. I do have a client who would just like to authorize on the web and charge when it ships. The challenge is getting the credit card number from some of these shopping cart websites because they encrypt the cc or do not want to store the card number. The authorization number may only last for 7 days and they might not ship for 3 weeks and then they need to ""reauthorize"" the cc again. With just the authorization number in MAS I do not think there is a way to reauthorize. Am I wrong?
