Part of our goal for MOTM is offering information and perspectives for our consultants to both make the most of their current Sage customer base and to prepare for Life After Sage. While nuts and bolts technical knowledge will always be a part of consulting on accounting-erp-crm-hcm, the amount of that technical need is rapidly declining. This 1 1/2 session concentrates on how to build demand for our ""higher level"" knowledge so that we don't turn into merely ""the plumbers."" SLA is offering a significant discount to 90 Minders. If you can spare the 2 extra days before MOTM, and the 2 extra hotel nights, this will be a valuable thinking experience for you. I've attended several in the past and always came with a lot of good thoughts to chew on.

I checked out his book and wish I hadn't wasted the time or money. Captain Obvious with ""trademarked"" buzzwords.

Perhaps he will have basic ideas I can bring back and share with my CPA partners, who are sort of remedial regarding business development.

Also, in my several attendances, the discussion among the participants as valuable or more than the presenters.

This might be a case of a speaker better than his poorly written book. Jeff Roth used him several times for some internal things, and Jeff recommended him highly. Angela put it this way, ""The word consultant is so overused so how do we discover and meet the needs of what the customer needs rather than simply going in and schlepping the same old thing. **It is about getting in deeper with our clients.**
