I I enable Item auto-complete in user preference and customer enters 1st character in item code field of Sales Order the drop down is for descriptions not item code. What happened?

The auto-complete searches Descriptions for Items, not the Item Code.

Thanks. But customer insisted that till today it dropped down with item code and the customer is ""always"" right. :-)

Perhaps their descriptions correlate better on some items than others. Good luck! :)

Never dropped down. Perhaps they were typing in the item code, THEN clicking on the ALE magnifying glass...

They can still enter the first few characters of the item number and hit the lookup button to get a list of items in 2014
