I have two clients now with 2008 servers where tasks are opening minimized or behind the launcher screen. I found the knowledgebase article below but this fix isn't working. Has anyone run into this and found a fix? Thanks. Subject: Tasks open minimized or ""out of focus"" when connecting through Windows 2008 Terminal Server Modify ForegroundLockTimeout regkey for each remote user. Go to Start | Run |. Type Regedit. Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop. Double-click ForegroundLockTimeout. Enter 0 in the Value Data field (leave as Hexadecimal). Click OK and exit Registry Editor. Repeat steps 1 thru 6 for each remote user session.

I had the same problem a couple of times and this fix DID resolve the problem each time.

Hi @JaneCavanaugh - did you get this resolved? I would echo @MaryJoKrueger in that I have had success pretty much every time I've used this. One question for all the IT types out there, I have actually been asked by the IT Consultant at a client if I knew what the Group Policy would look like to modify this for all users. I said I would see if I can find out, and this is pretty much the only reference I can find on 90 Minds regarding this issue. Any thoughts, other than the obvious?

Unfortunately the fix didn't work for either of my clients. However, I'm not sure if it was the fix or the IT person that was supposed to edit the registry.

I hear you, they may not have believed the part that says ""Repeat steps 1 thru 6 for each remote user session"". I guess I'm going to have to start a new thread to see if I can find anyone who knows how to write a policy for the server.

@JaneCavanaugh, I am still having this issue on multiple clients RDP's. Did you ever find a solution for this?
