I have two clients in the last two days that have inventory on hand quantities of zero but the total warehouse value for those item have amounts. some negative some positive some are small and some are HUGE values. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? is there a way to easily fix this? Both clients are questioning the validity of the trial balance and inventory valuation reports.

Look in the GL detail inventory accounts and see if you have any unusual entries with source code BI, BZ, or IZ. I have seen some very strange BI transactions that occur that I can't pin down. You can look at the BOM history for the transaction and see if that sheds light.

I believe this comes from production entry that creates negative quantities of components. @LeeGraham wrote a utility for me that corrects the warehouse values, (we had issues with standard cost items having crazy average cost values int the warehouse files) maybe he can tweak the utility for you.
