I have to share this because it made me laugh. There is someone at one of my clients that is really non-technical. So she gets an error message. I ask for a screenshot. She asks what a screenshot is and I tell her it's a picture of the screen. I explain how to do it. Well apparently she couldn't quite figure that out, but she emailed me a PDF. I opened it up, and it's a hand DRAWING of the error message ""picture"". She even colored in yellow the little exclamation point icon and colored in red the little red X. Bless her heart! :)

Or perhaps print it out and put it on my fridge ... :)

Many years ago, I had a client mail me a Polariod picture of her monitor with an error message, we kept that picture in their file for a long time.

At least she thought of a somewhat obvious and reasonable alternative, although I think many of us hopefully would have chosen to snap a photo with our cell and e-mail it. Reminds me of the times a client calls in a panic because they can't print a small number of checks, and it didn't occur to them to just handwrite the needed checks.

Lol. Is that your answer to a check printing problem, just handwrite them? (Sorry, but kind of funny!)

Good point :) I was more thinking of the times when the client is in a pinch, like 5p on a Fri or over the weekend, or when they're in a tremendous rush, etc.

There are those ultra-emergency times... I had a customer call me at 9:53pm on New Year's Eve - AND I ANSWERED IT!!! A mistake I won't make again...
