I have spent most of today emailing customers who are overdue to upgrade (which is most). It's tough when the first question is ""what's new"" and the feature attraction is so different for each customer. However, I did start to strongly suggest to payroll users that they upgrade ASAP. Remember that only 2015 and 2016 are compatible with payroll direct deposit service on the new payroll tiers. I have a few payroll users who renew in Jan/Feb 2017 and while it's possible to upgrade them during those months in most cases I think it's wise to upgrade well in advance of payroll busy season. Tip of the day: Start contacting payroll users who have not upgraded and get them scheduled for a 2016 upgrade or you'll wind up doing it during the busy payroll season.

@WayneSchulz, do you have a lot of clients already enrolled in Direct Deposit Service? As far as you know, the old DD methods should still function on supported versions, correct?

I have not had any customers (that I know if) take the DD service from Sage. I am finding a high attrition rate for payroll users. I think many are moving because of the complexity of payroll filings and desire to get everything into a solution like Paychex/ADP. I had one or two try to implement Abra but that didn't seem to work for whatever reason.
