I have not seen this before -- the SageCRM Outlook plug-in shows up, but the menu is blank and the toolbar is completely blank. Uninstalled the plug-in and reinstalled, and the reinstall seems successful however the toolbar just shows up blank. Only happens on one user's workstation. The user is in the administrators group on the workstation. Outlook 2003. Anyone ever run into this?

Does that user have any other Outlook plugins that others don't? Not sure if it was that specific problem, but I have seen plugin conflicts with the CRM plugin.

They do have other plug-ins, but nothing that anyone else does not have.

I've seen this a few times. Typically you go up to the Tools menu (I think that's it) and the CRM list will be a mile long, or at least several duplicate entries from all the install/uninstall that look like they work, but really didn't. Best way I have cleared it up is to follow the Manual Uninstall procedures and then do a fresh install. Make sure you clear out that menu in Outlook as well if it's got all the duplicates on it. I will look for the link to the Manual Uninstall procedures.

And the other one is that the plugin is not enabled. Installation Issue #2 - Outlook Integration Toolbar Missing from Outlook After the plug-in has been successfully installed, the integration toolbar is unavailable in Outlook. However, installation of the plug-in has been verified by the existence of the plug-in files within the C:\Program Files\Sage\CRM Client\Outlook Plugin folder. This issue occurs because the plug-in has been added to the Outlook Disabled Items list. To resolve this issue, please refer to Solution 20522.

Well Kevin, in this users case it's not that the CRM list is long -- there's literally nothing in it. And the little Outlook toolbar is a blank square. I did try the manual uninstall procedures and a fresh install and it only brought back a little blank toolbar.

Did you confirm that the plugin was enabled? I believe in 2003 that is under the Help menu. I don't have that in front of me to look.

Issue After installing the Outlook integration plug-in, the toolbar may be missing. Alternatively, nothing happens when clicking the Outlook integration menu buttons. Completely uninstalling and re-installing the plug-in does not help. Outlook may have added the integration plug-in to the list of disabled items. Special Considerations or Warnings None. Solution or Workaround Enable the integration plug-in to resolve the issue. Open Outlook on the problematic workstation. On the Help menu, click Disabled Items for Outlook 2007. For Outlook 2003, click About Microsoft Office Outlook then click Disabled Items on the About Microsoft Office Outlook window. In the Disabled Items window, select the Outlook integration plug-in from the list. Click Enable. Click Close to close all windows. Exit Outlook for the changes to take effect. Cause Outlook may have added the integration plug-in to the list of disabled items.

It WAS under the Help menu. What a sneaky place to hide that!
