I have installed CRM on both a laptop and a workstation (each with a standalone install of MAS 90) to give us something to get familiar with CRM and do some Demos. Both seemed to work at first (data transferred) but at some point we must have changed something and attempting to re-sync the data on the CRM Options screen gives us the following message. Integration Engine error: Could not connect to Sage CRM SQL Server. [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL. Server does not exist or access denied. I have tried unsuccessfully to get it to work again. My last attempt was to completely remove everything and start over. I removed the MAS CRM data for ABC company, un-installed CRM 200 and uninstalled SQL 2008. I then reinstalled from scratch and the install went well. I filled out the MAS CRM Options screen and clicked only to get the above error again. Does someone have a list of everything that needs to be done to completely uninstall so I can start over. Thanks

Are you using SQL authentication or windows Auth? Is SQL sever running? Can you log into CRM?

That error looks familiar. Did you search the socialcast forums? (not sure they work so well... just wondering)

@AaronClark, I am not using Integrated Login, so does that mean SQL Authentication? The SQL server is running. I had only attempted to access from the MAS side and not tried to start CRM by itself. I can start CRM, however, it indicates the license expires in 30 days and then moves on to start a dash board. It gives me a message that the Dashboard has experienced a problem. From there, it appears to work. Administration will come up and the menu choices seem to work. Other menus seem to work as well but My CRM goes back to the Dashboard issue. @PeterWolf, Yes and I think I got the same 8 hits I got this time. All had words from the error but none were a match. During the original install, the SQL part shows the login of sa with an password following. On one effort, I tried changing that so I would know what it was but it didn't like that. The first time I installed, it was left alone and when I got to the MAS CRM options screen, I just left the password for sa blank and it worked. I kind of gather SQL express just handles that, at least I couldn't find anything about how it should be set. Thank you both for replying.

Sounds like possible permissions issues to me. If you install SQL express with CRM, the default password is SageCRMv71 or something like that. It's in the install documentation included on the disc image. Make sure you have the right password in the CRM options in Sage 100.

Another thing to check is the firewall/antivirus, which could be blocking communication between the two.

@JohnBroadfoot - the dashboard error fix is in my last comment in the topic just below yours in the Sage CRM group. Also, turn off Java updates and make sure you are not on a Java 6 update higher than 27.

Thanks again for your assistance. On my workstation, setting the password for sa allowed data transfer to occur. I looked at Companies/Customers on each side and saw no differences so I am not sure what it actually did. I did a fresh install on the laptop and used the password there and it also did the data transfer with no apparent results. The welcome dashboard did come up on the laptop without error. I attempted the Dashboard fix Phil outlined while logged into the workstation as Admin and received the message ""401 Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials"". This happens on both computers so I don't even have the time zone set correctly yet. When in my work environment, the fire walls on both computers are turned off. At least at this point, I am able to learn navigation and see some of what's here.

I found an article on 401 Not Authorized error messages on the CRM Community and now have access to the administration screens and the dash board issue seems fixed on both test installs. Time to start learning about the product. Thanks again for your assistance.
