I have created a script (with the help of Mike Nottoli) that is attached to the validation of a UDF on the Sales Order Entry screen. My user ID has no problem running the script. When users that do not have full rights try to run the script they receive the following error: Error Encounter Error 88.Invalid/Unknown Property Name O/S Error.Object required 'OStation' (err/ret=2/0) Program.SY_MAINT.PVC Statement.2891 Class.SO_SalesOrder_Bus MethodCallScript Is there a role permission that I am missing?

Are you using a UDT and did you ""Add UDT to Desktop""? If so the regular users that would execute the script their roles need to be granted access to that specific Custom Office task in Role Maintenance. You will see that the specific menu UDT under Tasks / Custom Office

Thank you, @AlnoorCassim . That was exactly the issue. I thought I had given them rights to the table but apparently picked the wrong table.

@JeffSchwenk it's either ON or OFF in this case (see pic). There's no Create / Modify / Remove / View permissions

It would be nice to see an ""access denied"" rather than ERROR 88 on these.

Yes, better error message WOULD be great, but remember, this is Sage. Two items I would love to see but won't in my life time is the ability to click on a button within the error message that would pull up the exact error message in the KB and allow you to search the KB (or find the exact solution). The other would be the ability when a user has access denied due to role maintenance to be able to click on a button and pull up the EXACT role that is required to complete your task. One could even require a administrator role login challenge when clicking on the button. But then again, this is Sage..... Don't EVEN suggest the Idea Website....
