I have an orphaned Sage 100 (potential) client. The reseller went belly up. They have a shopping cart/webstore consultant already engaged. This has motivated them to find a reseller instead of just paying their maintenance to Sage and live without a reseller. They are reading and hearing from Sage how Sage has Sage Payment and Sage Gateway and somehow this has a built in shopping cart. Of course I cannot find any useful information regarding what it can and cannot do and what integration points it might have back to Sage 100. On 90minds, I can only find EBM and Website Pipeline being discussed. Anyone know what is there in reality? What are the strengths and weaknesses?

I just had an existing customer tell me they were going to sign up for the Sage webinar (?) regarding Sage Payment Center because they thought it sounded like it could be a POS replacement for ACCUPOS. So, apparently Sage is doing some great buildup over their payment center. From what I know, payment center is just the Sage web UI for their payments dashboard --- pulled into Sage 100.

I called my Sage Payment Rep (as they have added that back to the staff) and she says, yes, the gateway has a shopping cart. I cannot find anything other than very vague reference. Seems like smoke and mirrors to me.

As I recall, Sage payment center allows clients to click on a link and open a portal to pay their invoices. Doesn't DSD use something similar?? @JimWoodhead ????

I think you are thinking of Terms on Time. I had to look at this for another client.

@JeffSchwenk, you might be thinking of Sage Billing and Payments, which I'm pretty sure has been discontinued.

I just spent some time looking into what Sage Payment Center is all about, and I agree with @WayneSchulz's above comment. Released with v2016.1, it appears it's just a fresh coat of paint to Virtual Terminal. As far as I can tell it's no different than the existing Virtual Terminal, except maybe the interface is different and it can be launched directly from within Sage 100 rather than manually going to the Sage Payments / VT url. The one piece though I'm not so clear on is, ""Payments taken anywhere are automatically recorded in Sage 100"".

Other than website and EBM, there was one written to by Craig Jacobs with Bob Richter's tool, I believe Net@Work has one and we worked with Fisher Technology and their Task Centre tool. Website Pipeline and Craig Jacobs provide the web store and tools Around the site built on their platform similar@to and clearly newer than EBM. NEt@Work and our 2simpli connect are more like tool kits for connecting Magento (and ours also works with Shopify out of the kit). I also think B3B Gateway has something similar. These tools are more for someone who has a we store and wants a connection that is already pre-packaged. I think the consensus is Website Pipeline is the most comprehensive all in one tool available.

Additional info re: **Sage Payment Center** - from today's Sage Webcast: Apparently the Sage Payment Center (SPC) collateral/literature will be coming soon (""hopefully next week"", they said). It was also stated that there's documentation (or soon will be) for setting up the feature for posting credit card transactions to Sage 100 (A/R Cash Receipts Entry?) that are processed outside of Sage 100, e.g., via a mobile device out in the field. Can now apply for SPS Credit Card Processing inside Sage 100 whereas up til now we had to refer the client to the SPS folks. Re: ""partner versions of SPS"", they did not know whether that works or not with SPC. I will follow up with Tom Nanci at Sage.
