    I have a windows 7 64 bit workstation. I'm trying to install the PDF converter and it keeps giving me an error 87. It's MAS 90 4.30.0.18.

    Robert. Did you install the hotfix as well? I think you still needed the PDF hotfix for 4.30.18.

    It is installed.

    Did you do the usual like turning off UAC and making sure the user you are installing under had admin access on the workstation?

    I turned off UAC. User is a local administrator. Installed as administrator.

    OK. I got it installed. I had to rename the Amyuni driver to Sage PDF Converter. I used a trick Wayne posted here a while back of installing the PDF Converter from 4.40. I'll find the link to the post and post it here later. The issue now is no matter what I do, I'm getting Unable to Process Lockfile. In the registry there aren't any lock records.

    you searched the registry for Sage PDF Converter and found no Jobs or Locks subdirectories?

    Correct no Jobs or Locks subdirectories.

    Port on the PDF?

    I've tried the port as nul and Sage. @ThereseLogeais The reg key is there. I also compared it to the one that functions on my workstation and it matches. The user has full rights to the directory and can create files in the directory in paperless.

    How did you install it? Did you try the PDFInstall.exe in the MAS90\Home directory? I'm not sure what Wayne's method that you used is but it obviously doesn't like it.

    I copied the files over from a working 4.40 system home directory and ran it from there. It wouldn't install from the MAS90\Home directory.

    What's the version of the Amunyi converter? Did you try copying from or have access to a working 4.3 Home directory?

    I got it. I'm not 100% sure what I did.

    I did copy the files over from a working 4.30 and messed around with security uninstalled and reinstalled a dozen times or so.

    @RobertWood, I've had that happen a few times with these damn PDF Converter issues. You get to a point sometimes where you're trying a number of different things in different order - and all the suddent it starts working properly. {sigh}

    I'm sure it was the dozen times or so that did the trick. :)

    Stubbornness and luck eventually pays off...usually.

    This was what Wayne had posted that I tried: Just for kicks and giggles here's a list of all the files you need for the install. acfpdf.txt acfpdfu.dll acfpdfuamd64.dll acfpdfui.dll acfpdfuiamd64.dll acXMLParser.dll amyuni.inf cdintf.dll PDFInstall.exe xmllite.dll All the files come from \MAS\HOME directory except for xmllite.dll, which you can grab from any Win7 workstation, just do a file search for it. I've only tested it in a few situations but it seemed to work everytime. It's probably not by the book by any means but it does work. Also, I always find it useful to disable UAC, then run the pdfinstall.exe as administrator. Since I've done it this way I haven't had to rename the printer.
