    I have a user running MAS 90 4.30 SU18 and they have an issue every month when attempting to run the variance register after updating physical count. Is does not ask the user to update the variance register after reviewing. Investigation leads us to find a blank record every month in the CI_Item. Once this is removed update processes. Anyone know of any fixes besides deleting the blank record each month. Or perhaps what is causing this?

    I suspect what is happening is that the process is leaving the update marker in the CI_Item file when it should not. That blank record is actually the marker that the system leaves so it knows where it was in the update process. Do they have any modifications?

    The blank record is the 1st record every month and it's there before attemptingto run the variance register. No modifications

    Dumb question but do they have all the necessary rightS in role maintenance. Also are they previewing and not printing, that could cause it not to update .

    I think the blank record is a WAD as I have encountered the same blank record issue. However, none of my users have any difficulty updating the physical. I tend to think the issue is more as Jim W suggests.
