i have a prospect that is looking at Sage 100 with a mobile service platform being a large part of their business and need in evaluating software. need to have access to customer history, including any previous repairs or maintenance, review any existing service contracts for each specific location and have mapping /GPS feature for the work the prospect has found a few, but not sure if any of these interface with Sage. The mobile service platforms I have reviewed that indicate they will interface is MSI Data Service Pro, HH2, and IFC Core. anyone worked with any of these or have recommendations on other options? thanks

I would normally recommend reviewing the JobOps Field Service and Dispatch package, but the Technician Dashboard 2.0 release has no specific release date and does not have everything I would want in a technician mobile solution. It does much of what you are asking for with regard to history and service contracts, but the mobile portion is an unknown. MSI seems to be a solution that integrates with Sage 100, but mixed reviews on this forum. I have been involved in a review of construction and field service software for a plumbing company that does not involve Sage 100, and the service packages other than MSI have been preferred. The one issue seems to be the degree of integration, so I would look at that carefully.

We had a client spend lots of dollars with MSI and finally killed the project. I believe other 90 Minds members had issues with MSI and thus they are no longer members of 90 Minds. If anyone has had a successful project with MSI, please advise.

The xkzero mobile solution is only for sales, as Paul has pointed out. I was under the impression Service Center was more of a depot service and repair function, not field service with mobile devices for techs.

Take a look at Automated Service from Ascent www.ascent-sys.com they are fully integrated with Sage 100 and have mobile.

DSD Service Center works great for truck repair shops. I have a client that sells and services street sweepers, and they are pleased.

I work with Service Trade, but it's mostly for some specific industries, such as sprinkler and fire extinguishers. Now branched out to other service industries, though. https://www.servicetrade.com/industries/

IIG has Service Maestro - not sure if the mobile functionality exists but would be worth looking into

Update: Now that Scanco has taken over JobOps, the Tech Dashboard project is back on track for their Field Service & Dispatch software. No release date on the Tech Dashboard yet, but it is definitely a priority now.
