I have a new customer to Sage 100 2015 coming from DacEasy. She has always printed two copies of every check. The checks print white #101, yellow #101, white #102, yellow #102. Is there a way to get Sage 100 to do this? I tried changing the number of copies in the printer setup window but the 2 copy request was ignored. I didn't see anything in Crystal to specify the number of copies. Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA.

Did you try the Multi-part window?

I did. It will not let you uncheck the collate box.

You could set up the same printer twice. One of the printers would be configured to default to bin 1 (white paper) and the other to bin 2 (yellow paper). Configure multi-bin to print one copy to printer one and one copy to printer two.

The problem is that the check stock comes out of the box white yellow white yellow. The client does not want to separate the white pages from the yellow pages.

They must have a very reliable printer that never grabs more than one sheet.

What if you set the multi-bin 1 printer to 2 copies?

@Doug - I thought you had it. Unfortunately, it didn't work collated or not collated.

The printer driver properties may be overriding the Sage settings. See if the printer properties is (or can be) set to collate pages.

You either use 1 ""part"" 2 copies OR 2 ""parts"" 1 copy each in multipart. One of those options should work.

Perhaps now is s good time to PDF the check so she doesn't HAVE to print the second one... Old habits are hard to break. Why did she leave DacEasy if she doesn't want to improve her business processes?

So far, nothing works yet. However, as a point in fact, the problem exists on Excel, Adobe, etc. outside Sage 100. In other words, may not be a Sage 100 problem and in fact, I'm thinking it's a Windows 7 problem. Will keep ya posted!

Perhaps it is a UI problem. The advice coming from a sage consultant can't break through the User Intelligence issue.

Maybe it is a printer driver issue? Can you install a generic HP LaserJet 4 driver?

UAC is set to never notify. That may not mean anything, though. Looking at the existing printer driver, there is no option for collation. Checking my other printer drivers right now, including a generic.

It was the printer driver. The current driver for our printer doesn't work at all. Per your suggestion @GregStiles I used a generic HP printer driver and voila! Problem solved. Other settings included ensuring that Multi-Part is selected, 2 copies entered, Collate unchecked. In other words, as you would expect. Testing done on Windows 7 platform, local installation, Sage 100 v 5.20.1.0. After getting it to work, I re-tested a couple of settings on the original printer driver and it still would not work. No telling why. Only thing I know is I killed more tree life than I would have liked.
