I have a MAS90 4.3.0.19 user who when they try to print a custom report (label sized) from Inventory Management - Customer menu to a label sized printer -- SATO GL408e -- they get an Error 88 Line 696 or Steps: Go to custom reports Select report Select printer Setup Change Paper (in this case label ) size Click ok Select Preview (or Print) Error 88 SY_ReportEngine.PVC Line 696 I seem to recall this as having been an issue but don't know if it's a bug or some other type of known problem. The user can select the label (and print) just fine when they are in Crystal so it seems likely that the issue is on the MAS90 side. I already tried the KB entry about looking at SY_ReportSettings for bad values for paper size et al)

Did they refresh the database link in the Crystal report? Sounds odd.

I assume you have done this already? On the Tasks tab, expand Library Master and Utilities. Double-click Data File Display and Maintenance. Browse to ..\MAS90\MAS_System\SY_ReportSetting.M4T. Select the report that requires modification, and click the Edit button. Select the following fields, and manually change the value for each to 0 PaperOrientation PaperSize PaperSource PrintDuplex

Is this a thermal printer? What if another printer is selected?

Ken - yes I looked at the values and they are all zero. I have seen this issue before where that fix worked though typically the symptom would be that they could not get back to the report menu option at all. In this case the values seem to be cleared and there's just something about the printer that's erroring out. This is a thermal.

Is the paper size the exact same size as the label is in Crystal?

Not sure --- I'll have them check
