I have a fairly new client that keeps asking to use Master Purchase orders; however, they drop ship everything that is on these Master POs. As far as I can tell there is no way to create a PO from a master and make it a drop ship. Am I missing something? does anyone have a workaround for this?

Assuming no one has a way to actually make it a drop ship PO, I would: Create a ""drop ship"" warehouse Add a UDF on the PO where users enter a sales order number Create a Button & script to copy the ship to name and address from the SO to the PO - possibly automate the warehouse assignment here as well

I suggested that they create the drop ship warehouse and invoice out immediately. that did not fly I didn't suggest the scripting, and that is a good idea. I'll see if anyone else has a way to make it a true drop ship. before I hit them up with that. it might fly - we already have a ton of scripting with this client so they understand it.

Most likely, they want to use the SO button to generate the PO. I am in the same situation. The client has a large MASTER PO with the vendor for a specific quantity of an item. The item gets drop shipped. It is important to relieve the Master PO, since they pay different costs for the items depending on how many they shipped already this year. First 10,000 units at $3, next 10,000 at $2.90, etc.

@MadelineStefanou that is exactly what they would like to do and they ship to multiple job sites so they also will need to change the cost on each purchase order; they are fine with changing the costs. But they need to relieve the Master PO. have you found any workarounds? any 3rd party solutions?
