I have a data conversion stuck in a loop. Any time I attempt to open anything I get the friendly message ""data files have not been converted for this company"". I go to company maintenance, and all of the modules are listed as ""5.1"" which is correct but since I like to follow directions I click ""convert"" anyway and it runs a few things and tells me data conversion is complete (not that it wasn't required, just complete). However I still get the ""data files have not been converted"" error if I try to open anything. Does anyone know how to get out of the loop from hell? @Sage100UrgentSupportNeeded

Is the virus scanning software turned off?

There isn't any AV on the server. The source installation did have JobOps but I removed it from the original installation before migrating. Maybe there are some files still hanging on?

PVX or SQL database? I've had this happen in Premium.

From Sage - close but possibly not directly on point: Description ""Data files for XXX have not been converted. You must convert before activating."" (XXX = company code) occurs when activating or copying a company in a Sage 100 installation with third party modifications Disclaimer Backup Warning Use caution when working with the below product functionality. Always create a backup of your data before proceeding with advanced solutions. If necessary, seek the assistance of a qualified Sage Business Partner, network administrator, or Sage Customer Support Analyst. Support Sage Customer Support does not provide assistance for issues related to third party products or enhancements, hardware, report customizations, state or federal tax-related questions, or specific accounting questions. Please contact your Sage Business Partner, network administrator, or accountant for assistance. Please review this document for additional information on the scope of Sage Customer Support Services. Cause This error is caused by the installed modifications. The master developer who created the enhancement should be contacted to report the issue. Resolution Copy the MAS_SYSTEM\SY_EnhancementModule.M4T file to a directory outside of the MAS 90 directory. Expand Modules, Library Master, and Utilities. Double-click Data File Display and Maintenance. In the File Name field, select the SY_EnhancementModule.M4T file. Click the Delete button to delete all records in this file one by one. Rename the ...\MAS 90\Links folder. Create a temporary Links folder and copy the default.pvc file from the old Links folder. Proceed with the copy or activation process. Delete the temporary Links folder, and rename the original Links folder (to Links in the \MAS 90\ directory). Delete the ...\MAS_SYSTEM\SY_EnhancementModule.M4T file and restore the original file (from the backup created in previous steps).

I had an issue where the conversion would update the pvx files, but the SQL database were not getting created. Both of these things are supposed to happen during the conversion process. I don't think there is any equivalent situation to have on Standard/Advanced.

Kate, any chance a module is in SY0 or Sy_Activation that has the wrong Version listed, it may even be a module that is not installed, like FL for Fixed Assets

Thanks for everyone's help! I ended up re-uninstalling Job Ops from the original installation and re-migrating. The data finally converted. and has stopped prompting me to convert again. I assume something was stuck in the SY_* files. Thank you!
