    I have a customer who wants to use Payroll Paperless Office. I am not setting up the right combination of options to get what the customer wants to work. They want to: 1) manually push out the PDFs for employees with email addresses (not during check register update) 2) Have employees with email addresses and the PDF Delivery Option for E-Mail checked to save to the Paperless Office Stub Viewer and 3) Have employees with no email address and the PDF Delivery Option for Print checked to print the direct deposit stub and save to Paperless. Between Form Maintenance and the Employee Paperless Office Delivery Options, I am not getting it. All help is greatly appreciated. TIA

    Wouldn't you just select PDF ALL when you print the stubs and go to the Stub viewer and send them out? I think they would all go to the Stub Viewer though. You would still set up the Employee Paperless as usual and the Form Maintenance still needs the Electronic Delivery option checked.

    I thought about PDF all and then sorting between those with emails and those without and printing the stubs without emails. However, you don't get the option to print the stub without opening it first in the viewer. So, unfortunately, PDF All won't work.

    Print/PDF for Print Delivery Option? This would print the stubs not being emailed. I've never tried to see what happens if you don't electronically delivery during check register update, does it give any type of 's/b emailed/ indicator in stub viewer so they could sort by 'email = Y' and push?

    Unfortunately Print/PDF for Print Delivery does not create the PDF for email employees in the stub viewer. You can push manually by sorting the stubs by E-mail Address and Sent=""N"". I have found no combination to do what the customer wants. I even resorted to calling Sage. No joy.

    Are you missing to choose ""Print/PDF or Electronically Deliver"" during printing?

    I tried that option and the stubs were electronically delivered at check update. I also thought the OR would make a difference, but it didn't.

    Jane - it delivered during check update even with the 'deliver during check register update' unchecked?

    Oh, I see. Yeah looks like if ""Deliver During Check Register Update"" is cleared, you must access Employee Direct Deposit Stub Viewer to manually e-mail direct deposit stubs to employees.

    If ""Deliver During Check Register Update"" if cleared, your only print options are Print All, Print/PDF All, and PDF All. I tried PDF All and that works for Electronic Delivery but there is no Print option in the Viewer.

    Yeah, none of those options will get you what you want with that unchecked. Why can't they deliver during update?

    The customer has to update the checks on Wednesday and payday is Friday. They would like to email Thursday afternoon. They could deliver during update but would prefer to wait. Appears they won't have a choice. I did email Laura Dy and asked this to be added to the wish list for Payroll 2.0.

    Update - I have confirmed with and bitched to Sage that the ""Print Stubs if No Employee E-mail Address"" check box only works if the stubs are delivered during check register update. Otherwise, the program totally ignores that option. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

    @JaneCavanaugh Sorry for my tardiness to the party! Could the user actually run the print job twice? Yes, they will have to click to not update, yet it seems to be easier than printing from the Viewer. Have them print with 'PDF All,' then ""print"" again with 'Print/PDF for Print Delivery Option.' Then when they are ready to email, they can select all the stubs for that pay period without sorting and email - those without email addresses won't go anywhere.

    That might work, however, when I explained the options, they decided to just email on check register update. Wish they would have decided that before I spent all the time researching!
