I have a customer who wants to limit some users of modifying a Sales Order once they enter it. They cannot modify or delete. There is no way thru roles...so here was my workaround... Hide/disable the icons for first/previous/next/last or Sales Order number. It eorks great, except I havent been able to hide/disable the magnifying glass in the sales order number. Could someone help!!!! Thanks...

Can you draw a box and cover the lookup icon?

You should be able to handle this in security. Create, Modify and Delete are all different settings.

Security roles wont work. If you give someone access to create...they cannot be removed from modify. You might uncheck the box...but when you go in again to verified...it checked modifiy again. Sage said that is the way it was designed...??????

You could put the limited users in a group and use a script to deny their access if the order has reached a certain point such as having lines.
