I have a customer who needs to reinitialize their IM_PriceCode file and import in new data. (This is version 4.50.) When attempting this in test, we reinitialize just fine, and then when we try to import it comes up with an Error 11 IM_PRICECODE_BUS.pvc line 0315. I read somewhere on the community that you need to have a ""standard"" record in this file. I tried adding one after reinitializing, and it seemed to take, but I still get the error 11 when trying to import. Has anyone had to do this process before?

Do you have a std record for each price code?

Oh, I guess I misunderstood, I thought they meant a price code called ""STD"".

Okay, now I get a pop-up saying ""../IM/IM_VIPerform.M4P;IM_"" with a title of ""Job Perform failed in <job name>

Hm. I know I've imported into this, but can't remember if it was 4.4 or 4.5. But I do know that I had to have a record for each price code - like when you set one up and it always makes you setup a blank price level record first, with the description, then you can setup your other price levels. It was that blank price level record that needed to be out there - apparently no way to import it.

No way to import it? That really bites. This customer has about 50 price codes. I can't tell them that in 4.10 they could import and in 4.50 they have to key them in just so they can import the price levels against them.

Well, let's put it this way. My client only had about 10 price codes, so it wasn't worth my time to fret over the import any more to see if I could find a way to make it work. So let's say there isn't an obvious way to do it.

Wait a second -- I just imported them. I just set up two records in the import file, one with a space for the price level and one with the price level and that worked just fine.

See, there you go. You had more reason to find a way than I did!

Well if that helps you too then it's doubly worth it!

@DawnAnastasi excellent - so if the PriceCode file is empty, make the first import record a blank/space?

Yes, it set them up for me. I used a space rather than a blank. But I'm still getting that pop-up for every single record I try importing.

Okay, I went into the VI job and deleted out the records under the ""Perform"" button and that removed the message. I'm hoping that by deleting that, it's not causing issues.

Oh, and this customer now has 242 price codes!!! (When I first started with them a couple years ago they were just using 50.)

The only thing I can think of that would be perform logic (and I don't think this applies any more, but I haven't looked at the CI_Item file to verify) would be changing those fields they used to have in IM1 re PriceByCust, PriceByItem, etc to Yes.

Those fields are no longer in CI_Item.

    Folks - the first field in the PriceCode file is: PriceCodeRecord . . . . . . . Valid:0,1,2 0=Price Code record 1= Item Price record 2 = Item/Customer Price record
