I have a customer who has a couple of machines that occasionally show no printers other than Deferred. It's Sage 100 2013 Standard. I've seen this tons of times on Advanced but never Standard. Anyone have any ideas? Network cables, ports, etc. have all been replaced.

I still get burned occasionally by the ""does the network printer name include the letters 'ON'?"". I have the best luck re-creating all the Network printers as Local Printers on the troublesome workstation, though IT always grumbles about that approach (understandably).

    Good thought but it doesn't.

Check the permissions on the workstations local Sage directories and common files too. Check the permissions on the workstation print devices.

Perhaps a mapped drive connection timing out? Try a UNC for the file path instead.

@KevinMoyes that's in line with what I'm thinking.

A lag in DSN resolution might be an issue too. Try UNC with IP address to eliminate potential name resolution problems.

It's 2 machines out of 30. It happens about once a week.

Other weird thoughts: if they're wired, I wonder if they're approaching maximum cable distance, or if they're attached via a consumer-level switch. If they have wired and wireless, you may want to make sure the wireless is disabled when they're plugged in. It's those intermittent ones that are such a pain....

So weird - just have this happening at a client as well. They have to run Dir Dep directly on the server, and no ""regular"" printers were showing and trying to Electronically Deliver kept popping up like a preview. Finally added a bogus ""real"" printer, had to set it to Default, and then reinstall Paperless and it finally started working.
