I have a customer who doesn't want certain user to see the cost of the inventory items. I heve deselected the Module Options: Allow access to All Costing, Receipts and Vendor Information in Item Inquiry Display Standard Cost information in Item Inquiry They still can see the cost....what am I missing??? Does user belong to multiple roles...one might still have these options selected.

nope...only one role. By the way, I realized you cannot see the cost in Item Maintenance...it is only on the Sales Order Entry when you look at the minor grid cost field.

In that case, that is controlled in Setup / SO Options, not security. One of the choices is to display unit cost or not.

I have a customer with the exact same request. The problem I see is that you can still do a custom lookup and add the cost information to the lookup.

You can take away the ability to do custom lookups on that screen via the Custom Lookup Wizard

Kenny - via the user lookup wizard? I can never seem to figure out the lookups apply to the panels and fields that I am trying to customize.

John - I know, its horrible design. In version 2016 they added the wizard to the lookup itself which helps a lot. Just click the lookup you want to customize and on the bottom click on the Wizard. If it's not 2016, I'm guessing it will be CI_ItemSO_CI_ItemMaster or something like that. Or Maybe it was added in 2015. Can't really remember
