I have a customer v2015 Sage 100 and upgrading to v2018. I know v2018 has updated Crystal Reports version, can pre 2018 production co-exist with a v2018 new Sage 100 on the same server? Should we avoid same sever? I know there is a KB88721, that talks about copy of a pvxwin32.exe.config file, is that suffieient? I am concerned cause I have a test upgrade v2014 to v2018 and on v14 copy on the new server is no loger launching after 2018 is installed.

Short answer is probably not without some ""little"" tweaking. You need to put the .config file in the pre 2018 version AND install the 2018 client for everyone running old Sage, even if they are part of the testing. There are several threads on this topic and how inconvenient it is.

Either: - Setup a fresh workstation with only 2018 and use that for testing - Install 2018 to all workstations and copy the config ( [see KB here](https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=86964&sliceId=1&cmd=¤tmsID=MS_Customer&docLink=true&isDocLink=true&languageId=&ViewedDocsListHelper=com.kanisa.apps.common.BaseViewedDocsListHelperImpl) ) file to the production version of Sage which fixes the printing error The two versions can exist on the same server. **The problem is:** the **workstations cannot have two different versions of Sage** without[ applying a fix ](https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=86964&sliceId=1&cmd=¤tmsID=MS_Customer&docLink=true&isDocLink=true&languageId=&ViewedDocsListHelper=com.kanisa.apps.common.BaseViewedDocsListHelperImpl)which involves copying a config file to the live (pre-2018) server directory which in turn requires all workstations with an older Sage to also have 2018 installed. If you only have a few users - no biggie. If you have 30+ users with remote and virtual desktops this could be a bigger effort than you expected to deal with because you'll need to install workstation setup for 2018 to all workstations before you begin testing.
