I have a customer using BM kits which they always explode in SO. Components are relieved correctly but the kit item itself always goes negative. Why is that? I understand the sales showing up in history but they always have negative quantities on hand for the parent/kit item. What am I missing? TIA.

What version of Sage? Isn't there a switch (recently added) in IM setup that tracks kit transactions in IM history now?

I'm not seeing anything in IM or SO setups. They are on v2015 but I looked in 2017.

Are the warehouses the same for the components and finished goods?

Are kits set to prompt or always explode? Maybe someone is not always exploding?

Good thought @MarkKotyla. I looked at the explode option for this item and it is set to never. I even entered an SO and it did NOT prompt to explode. Apparently, they are manually 'exploding' kits. In other words, never mind.... :)

Nothing like a little bit extra work entering SO's....

The default kit action explode/prompt/never can be set at the product line level then applied to items.
