I have a customer that would like to allow an employee entering a new sales order / purchase order to be only be able to use the ""Next"" order number button. they want to prevent them from assigning order numbers in the system. Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?

Looks like in customizer you can disable the field and it still allows you to select next. Would that work?

I thought of that, but then they would not be able to call up existing orders.

Good point, I think if that is not an option (using the search to call up existing orders) you would have to using scripting.

Unless the F2 still works when the field is disabled.
