I have a customer that wants to install MAS 200 version 4.4 on a Windows 2012 server. This is not supported under the SPM, but the customer wants to know if MAS 200 functions on the 2012 server or are there issues. Anyone?

Out of curiosity, why aren't you upgrading to 2014 since 4.4 is no longer supported? Wouldn't that be more prudent?

This client uses the DM2 add-on and they are in the process of upgrading to 2013. They need to upgrade their server to Windows 2012 and will need to run 4.40 for about 6 months on the 2012 server, then they will switch to Sage 2013.

Are they upgrading the OS on the existing server, or getting a new server? If a new server, move MAS 200 4.4 to a VM of a supported Server OS. If upgrading the server, why?

It is a new server. Client would like to install operating system once if possible.

When did sage give up the ghost on 4.4. Thought we had till year end.... Virtualization cures many ills....

Hmmmm. Guess I will have to tell that to the client tomorrow when he wants to get WIN 8 working with v44....

@JaneCavanaugh , did you solve this? I have a client that wants to move 4.4 standard to new 2012 R2 server, run as 4.4 for a while until all seems ok, then upgrade to 2014. Is VM the only answer?

No. My client decided not to risk it.
