I have a customer that can't email from one of her companies in Sage (v5.10.7.0) but another company with the exact same settings in the Email tab of Company Maintenance can email just fine. I've verified everything is exactly the same, I've looked at it in DFDM, deleted & re-entered the data. Still nada. When I create a new company, it fails as well. What am I missing? Where else can I look at this?

That's the error we get, but she's entered the password into notepad, I copied & pasted it into the company code that works, saved it & tested email...everything works. I copy & paste into other company, it doesn't work.

Try copying and pasting the password using DFDM from the company that works to the company that doesn't in SY_Company ??

Okay, so more information...when I create a brand new company & enter the email information & test everything works perfectly. If I copy the offending company over this new company, it causes the email to fail.

In the company that doesn't work, is there an email address in the Email Address field on Main tab of Company Maintenance? Is there one in company that does work?

Went into DFDM & removed all of the email info from the fields & changed UsePDFLockFile from Y to N. Went back into Company Maintenance & had her re-enter all of the info & everything works as expected. Was it the PDF Lock File thing??
